Total number of new taxa published since 1864
Numbers of new taxa described in the worldwide scientific literature and included in Zoological Record®. Currently Zoological Record® monitors over 5,000 international serials plus other non serial publications to gather information relating to the biology, research nomenclature and taxonomy of animals. Zoological Record® also individually records all taxonomic and nomenclatural acts from those publications.
